CHERKASY REGIONAL STATE ADMINISTRATION
Cherkasy region is located in the central forest-steppe part of Ukraine, in the basins of the Dnipro and Southern Bug rivers. It borders Kyiv (340 km long) in the north, Poltava (212 km long) in the east, Kirovohrad (388 km long) in the south, and Vinnytsia (124 km long) in the west.
The area of the region is 20.9 thousand sq. km, which is 3.5% of the state's territory (18th place in Ukraine).
There are 4 districts in the region. The total number of settlements is 854 units, of which: 16 are cities, 838 are rural and settlement settlements. 66 TGs have been created in the region, of which: 40 are rural, 16 are urban, and 10 are settlement.
